an incomplete diary:

  • 2011 - Now it's time for further implementation. The paint job is definitely planned for this year. Very classic, based on the famous Lotus 25 in green/yellow. A little bare aluminum will also remain, but the final decision has not yet been made. (well, the reality was - the paint job came in 2016)
  • 2011 - in any case, the Rover engine is already there and the 6-speed gearbox is also being overhauled.
  • 2012 - A lot of time has passed since the last entry. The time was used to build the car. The following points were successfully completed:
  • Wiring harness was relocated
  • Main brake cylinder installed and brake lines laid
  • pedals installed
  • Handbrake incl. Since installed
  • 2013 - the next steps
  • Front axle including steering installed
  • differential and cardan shaft installed
  • rear axle pre-assembled
  • 2014 - and it continues
  • New dashboard with modified holes for instruments and switches (it took three attempts before it was as imagined and the switches could all be arranged sensibly)
  • heat protection fitted
  • Currently, additional parts are being procured so that the next sections can be tackled.
  • 2015 - Of course I could be faster, but sometimes I don't have the time, sometimes I'm missing parts, sometimes I don't understand it and then I stand in front of the vehicle and think "what a load of rubbish" and sometimes I don't have the money for the parts. But I always turn back when it gets complicated. Instead of a standard chassis, I obviously need a Nitron Chassis. Or of course the Caterham sports brakes. It's like real life. And there's time. But next year (2016) the Caterham will be driving!
  • 2016
  • - the year of completion - next year he has to go to the festival
  • Paintwork - after much consideration, not standard British Racing green - we decided on "Aston Martin Racing green"
  • Wedding - for this we transferred the chassis to Kuppenheim to Joachim Westermann (thank you for your patience with me)
  • yes and then it was finished and the TÜV also worked
  • 2017
  • - Registration and driving and testing and testing and ....
