I'd like to take you on my personal journey. Tell you about everything I've personally experienced and how I'm doing.
You've probably already looked at our site and therefore already know me a little.
My name is Kai-Olaf, I am 61 years old and was born in Leipzig.
I learned about adventure travel from my parents. Once a year, we went to some country in the former Eastern Bloc for four weeks. We went to Poland and Hungary a lot, and Bulgaria and Romania a little.
But always with a car, a tent, and plenty of adventure. We met lots of nice people on these trips, many of whom then visited us again in Leipzig.
That hasn't changed; even after changing sides in 1975, traveling was an important element of my life.
And so the desire to travel the Pan-American Highway was born. And it was going to be in a Land Rover.
This year it's finally starting, and I'll be documenting my impressions here. Let's see how everything goes.
